Welcome film

Joining the library

You automatically become a member of the library when you receive your Student ID Card as part of the University registration process.

You can access your library account through the My Account link on FINDit.

Use your USW student number and IT password to log into FINDit.

Your IT account

Setting up your IT Account

To access all the online library facilities you will need to set up your IT account. 

We have increased the security on your USW IT student account. This includes enabling Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) providing extra protection for your IT account, for details on how to set up your account go to  IT Induction.

WiFi

The WiFi network is called eduroam.

eduroam is an international WiFi network used around academic and research institutions.

To connect to eduroam follow these instructions.

Printing

Printing, photocopying and scanning

Your print account is created automatically as part of your Student IT account.

You can add credit to your account in the Trefoest print shop or online.

You can also print from your own devices.

Printing Charges

 5p  – A4 black and white
10p – A3 black and white
20p – A4 colour
40p – A3 colour

Scanning is free

Use FINDit to find details of all our print books and ebooks

How do I take them out?

  • Reserve your books online and collect in person or browse the shelves to select what you want.
  • You can use the self-service machines to borrow and return books
  • You can use our postal loan service if you cannot access the library

FINDit

We don't just have books in our libraries. We also have online collections for you to use.

You can search across a wide range of resources and find items held in these collections by using FINDit.
