State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children(STAIC)

Comprises seperate self- report scales for measuring two distinct anxiety concepts: state anxiety (S-Anxiety) and Trait anxiety (T-Anxiety). The STAIC-S Anxiety consists of 20 statements that ask children how they feel at a particular moment in time. it is designed to measure transitory anxiety states. i.e. subjective, consciously perceived feelings of apprehension, tension and worry that vary  in intensity and fluctuate over time. The STAIC- T Anxiety also contains 20 items asking how respondents generally feel. It measures relatively stable individual differences in anxiety proneness, i.e. differences between children in the tendency to experience anxiety states. Most respondents can complete both scales in 20 minutes.
