Still images can be found in a vast number of books in the Library. FINDit: Search/Libraries lists all the material held in the library, their availability and location. Use the FINDit to search for books on specific subjects or on a specific artist, illustrator, photographer, or graphic designer etc., to find the images that suit your needs.
Some of the journals in the Library will also have images. Use the FINDit: Find Journals option in FINDit to look for printed journals that relate to the subject you are looking for to source suitable images.
Images from books and journals can be photocopied or scanned using the multi-functional devices available in the library and else where on campus. When photocopying/scanning, please observe the copyright guidance displayed above the equipment. For more information see the copyright section in this guide.
The Newport Survey Photographic Collection is a collection of black and white photographs taken by documentary photography students in the 1980s which document the then town of Newport. These photographs formed the basis of a series of 8 publications on various themes relating to the town, also called The Newport Survey.
