Television and Radio Index for Learning and Teaching (TRILT)

Television and Radio Index for Learning and Teaching (TRILT)  is a comprehensive online listings service for UK television and radio designed especially for educational users.

  • Listings for more than 560 TV and radio channels with data from 1923 onwards.

  • Archive helps users identify both forthcoming and already broadcast material to support their work.

  • Data is available ten days in advance of transmission.

Free to air television - on demand services

UK 'free-to-air' broadcasters provide access to programmes from their on demand services, usually for a specified time period (minimum 7 days).

Moving image databases and collections

There are an increasing number of moving image databases and collections available on the Internet, via archive, library and research websites. Some sites offer streaming while others allow you to download the clip/film. Below is a selection:

Finding moving images online
