How to get assistive technology as a student at USW

UK students can receive hardware like headphones and laptops through Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).

Additionally, software such as screen-readers, speech-to-text programs, and mind mapping tools are available for free via DSA. To qualify for DSA, you need to have a diagnosis of Additional Learning Needs or a Specific Learning Difficulty.

For those who don't qualify for DSA, there are still free and affordable options to support your studies.
